Department Of Zoology

Department of Zoology was established in 1972 with the inception of the institution itself. Department ensures that, Students get to understand of the natural world and how we can help with conservation. In department of Zoology, degrees are deeply rooted in the real world and appreciate the complexity of its structures. The department ensures that the students have job opportunities as Sericulture, Aquaculture, Ecologist, wildlife technician, marine biologist, veterinary technician, animal nutritionist, environmental scientist, forest officer, wildlife biologist, environmental biologist, zoology professor, and the research scientist. For the zoology departmental students, there are many fascinating subjects that are great for research; such as, animal behaviour, ecology, evolutionary biology, conservation biology, physiology etc., Zoology departments often collaborate with other departments within the same institution, as well as external organizations, research institutes, zoos, wildlife reserves, and governmental agencies. These collaborations facilitate interdisciplinary research, exchange of expertise, and joint conservation efforts. The department provides career guidance and support services to help students explore career options, develop professional skills, and pursue employment opportunities in academia, research, industry, government, conservation, and nonprofit sectors. The department recognizes the growing importance of communication skills and is committed to fostering their development. To achieve this goal, the department organizes skill development courses, seminars, conferences, and workshops focused on enhancing communication abilities. The department ensures that its students emerge as resilient individuals capable of navigating life's challenges and succeeding in their careers. The department strives to inculcate the core human values which have been emphasized by our Founder and Administrator Dr. Bhai Keshavrao Dhondge Saheb, like patriotism, humanism (giving dignified treatment to all irrespective of their religion, caste, creed, language, etc), righteous behaviour, integrity, etc.
